Aaron Aaron Twombly is a 2nd year Ackerley Scholar from Highland, Kansas. He is in his 4th year as a senior IT major, and he administers our CSLab network of workstations and servers (Windows and Unix). He was a Novell administrator in high school and earned his A+ Certification his first year at Graceland. Aaron has played a critical role doing helpdesk work and adminstration of various network environments for the university. CS/IT faculty members frequently seek his advice about network and software issues. His senior year projects involve system administration with C# WMI and various applications for embedded linux systems.
Leona Leona Dorothy is a 2nd year Ackerley Scholar. She came to Graceland from Creston, Iowa, is in her 3rd year at Graceland with senior status, and is a CS/IT double-major. Her composite ACT score was 32 and she maintains a 4.0 GPA. She has worked for Graceland as a troubleshooter, servicing computer workstations and eradicating viruses.
Bojan Bojan Raic is a 1st year Ackerley Scholar. He came to Graceland from Capljina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, is in his 2nd year as a CS/IT double-major with a math minor. He ranked number one in high school and participated in federal math competitions there. He is a member of Graceland's math team in collegiate competitions. Bojan maintains a 4.0, is the ACM president, is a CS Lab assistant, and is preparing to be the next administrator of the CS Lab and servers. He is a self-learner, taking full advantage of the many on-line courses offered by the ACM.
Samantha Samantha Bigger came to Graceland from Croswell, Michigan, is in her freshman year, and is a CS major. She was an excellent high school student, taking all of the science and math courses that she could. She has participated in academic bowls, drama club, and band, receiving numerous awards from academic and music competitions. She is good at troubleshooting computer problems and is quick to assist others with such problems. Samantha has a strong aptitude for computer science and technology.
Blake Marcus Blake Grundman came to Graceland from Croswell, Michigan, is in his freshman year, and is a CS major. Blake was an excellent high school student, active in various science competitions, quiz bowls, sports, and band. He was recognized as Science Student of the Year as a freshman. Throughout high school he was active in designing, implementing and presenting independent scientific research projects for science clubs or competitions.
Sha Chen, Sha, came to Graceland from Chengdu, China, is in her freshman year, and is a CS/Math double-major. She was an exceptional student in China, receiving many academic awards from her highly ranked school. She excelled in mathematics, being the top math student at her school and winning recognition with a certificate of distinction at the Euclid Contest, an international math competition sponsored by the University of Waterloo, Canada.
Ammon Ammon Horn came to Graceland from Sibley, Missouri, is in his freshman year, and is a CS major with interests in engineering. He began taking adult level computer training classes and shadowing tech-support workers as a junior high student. As a high school student, he provided technical support to numerous students and adults. His composite ACT score is 33 and he is the recipient of the Prestigious Honors Scholarship at Graceland, which carries full tuition.
