Bojan Raic is a 3rd year Ackerley Scholar. He came to Graceland from Capljina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, is in his 4th year as a CS/IT double-major with a math minor. He ranked number one in high school and participated in federal math competitions there. He is a member of Graceland's math team in collegiate competitions. Bojan is the chief administrator of the CS Lab and servers. | |
Samantha Bigger came to Graceland from Croswell, Michigan, is in her 3rd year, and is an IT major. She was an excellent high school student with many accomplishments and awards. She is good at troubleshooting computer problems and is quick to assist others with such problems. | |
Marcus Blake Grundman came to Graceland from Croswell, Michigan, is in his 3rd year, and is a CS/IT double-major. Blake was an excellent high school student with numerous accomplishments, including Science Student of the Year as a HS freshman. Throughout high school he was active in designing, implementing and presenting independent scientific research projects for science clubs or competitions. | |
Chen, Sha, came to Graceland from Chengdu, China, is in her 3rd year, and is a CS/Math double-major. She was an exceptional student in China, receiving many academic awards from her highly ranked school. She excelled in mathematics, being the top math student at her school and winning recognition with a certificate of distinction at the Euclid Contest, an international math competition sponsored by the University of Waterloo, Canada. Sha is also the first recipient of a new Graceland scholarship established in 2006-07, the Wildermuth Asian Technology Endowed Scholarship. | |
Ammon Horn came to Graceland from Sibley, Missouri, is in his 3rd year, and is an IT major. He began taking adult level computer training classes and shadowing tech-support workers as a junior high student. As a high school student, he provided technical support to numerous students and adults. He is a recipient of the Prestigious Honors Scholarship at Graceland, which carries full tuition. | |
Ross Polly is a 2nd year CS major who came from Salem, Oregon. He took numerous CS courses in high school and interned as a Java programmer at the Department of Human Services. | |
Jacqui Everett is a 2nd year CS/Math double-major who came from Ft. Worth, Texas, with interests in engineering. She was class valedictorian from a large high school and is a recipient of the Prestigious Honors Scholarship at Graceland which carries full tuition. | |
Nick Gay is a 2nd year CS major who came from Lenexa, Kansas, with a long list of impressive leadership accomplishments from high school and a strong aptitude for math and science. He plays varsity soccer and has a soccer scholarship at Graceland. | |
Greg Kelly is a 1st year Ackerley Scholar who came to Graceland from Anamosa, Iowa. He is a 2nd year CS/IT double-major. Greg is assistant administrator of the CS Lab and servers, to become the new system administrator next year. | |
David McDermid is a 1st year CS major who came from Joplin, Missouri. During his first semester he prepared a presentation/demonstration on 3-D and stereoscopic programming in Visual Python. | |
Rinor Sadiku is a 1st year CS major who came from Prishtina, Kosovo. During his first year he showed promise for our next generation of winning robot designers/programmers. |
