Tutorial for using CSLab Scanner

These instructions are
intended for the HP scanner in the CSLab (101 Sci).
You must use the CSLAB07 computer, which
is adjacent to the scanner.
1. a. Open My Computer b. Double-click the HP Scanjet icon |

2. a. Click Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard b. Click on the OK button |
|
|
3. a. Click Next |
|
|
4. a. Click Preview and wait for it to display. b. [optional] Move the scan area rectangle and its corner handles over the area of interest in the preview. Press the zoom button to maximize it in the preview if you wish (this will not effect the scan). c. [optional] Change the picture type or customize the resolution, brightness, and contrast of the scan if you need to. d. Click Next to do the scan and wait until done |

5. a. Complete box 1 with a name that your saved image filename will begin with b. Complete box 2 for the file type c. Complete box 3 and remember that location so you can find your files d. Click Next |

6. a. Choose Nothing. I'm finished working with these pictures b. Click Next |

|
7. a. Click Finish to close the Wizard b. Now you can go to the place where the picture was saved to see the image file and do what you want with it |
