Servers & Minicomputers
Graceland College supports the following servers and minicomputers:
- an HP 9000/G30 (inet-ux.graceland.edu) with 7 GB disk and 160 MB
main memory, providing primary e-mail routing, POP mail, WWW
services, bootp and DNS services as well as primary mail host for
most students. inet-ux is also used by computer science students
using the GNU C++ compiler.
- an HP 9000/845 (jay.graceland.edu) with 1.3 GB disk and 32 MB
main memory.
- a Pentium PC (acm.graceland.edu) with 1 GB disk and 32 MB main
memory running Linux which provides an experimental Unix platform
for students in Computer Science.
- an HP 3000/922 LX (libbie.graceland.edu) with 2 GB and 64 MB
main memory, supporting the main library catalog.
(To log onto Libbie, telnet to inet-ux.graceland.edu and type
"libbie" (no quotes) at the login prompt.)
- an HP 3000/957 (jenny.graceland.edu) with 10.383 GB disk and 128
KB main memory, primarily supporting administrative M.I.S.
applications.
- four Windows NT servers (an HP NetServer LS (224 MB memory), LH
(128 MB memory) and 2 LC's (64 MB memory); each with six 2 GB
hot-swap SCSI-2 disk modules configured in RAID Level 5 arrays.
The NetServer LH supports Graceland's Independence Education
Center in Independence, Missouri. The NetServer LS and the two
NetServer LC's support the Lamoni campus. In addition, an HP
NetServer LM with 64 MB memory and 2 GB hard drive supports Novell
users on the Lamoni campus.
- two Apple WorkGroup servers providing services primarily to
the Library and Physics MicroLabs, as well as other Macs on campus.
